80-85% Chance of Cure for Hodgkins?

Sorry for your husband and you facing this. It is a shock at first. Those estimates are roughly based on years of clinical trial data. There are so many subtypes and stages of Hodgkin lymphoma. Your husband's outlook is still excellent. I found this forum and also the Leukemia& Lymphoma Society...

    Refractory and SCT

Hi, goalkeeper, I'm sorry you're facing a relapse. I will just share a guess as a lay person. In general, doctors will go with tried and true treatments, especially if they have not provided BvB before; their staff, nurses, pharmacy, etc., would need training and experience to avoid or...

If it isn't growing, it isn't the hodge??

This is possible. Many conditions can cause PET to light up that are not Hodge. Especially if there is no change in size seen on CT - it is not growing - , often the lymphoma dr will consider other causes such ad inflammation. There can be false positive PETs as well. Lyssa is right- your dr...

    Reaching a Lymphoma Diagnosis

I agree with this recommendation. This happened to my husband. First diagnosis was Tcell ALCL- very rare. Sought a clinical trial. Screening for that trial and review of biopsy led to classical Hodgkins dx and regular ABVD treatment.

    Husband Just Received HL Diagnosis

Try naprosen, there is generic, for the itch. Or has he tried antihistamines like Benadryl. Others have suggested hot showers in past. Temporary measures to get relief until treatment starts. Once treatment starts, it will begin to go away.

ER-1, I pray for you to have peace and support and good effective treatment. It's hard when you don't feel well with flu. Flu does mess with bloodwork. Rest and treat your symptoms, and good luck with ultrasound. Keep reaching out, I hope something helpful will turn up despite disappointment...

    Hi...just diagnosed with Hodgkin classic

Agree, ask Italian doctor. I remember my husband's primary care dr telling us that scans are shadows. The interpretation is best left to a dr with knowledge of lymphoma and how it presents. Benign " reactive" processes can cause false alarms. P. S. It would be best to have your scans compared...
