Radiation Sucks
Hey all,
I have had a tough couple of days with the beginning of my radiation. My question to any of you out there who have had radiation, does it get any easier? I absolutely cannot stand my "mask" I have to wear, it hurts, its too tight, and leave a pattern on my face that makes me look like lizard woman for about a hour afterwards! I got the tattoos on Monday, and thankfully they didn't hurt too bad. I had my first radiation appt yesterday (1 of 17) and I almost had a panic attack before they turned on the machine. It was scary, and my heart felt like it was about to pound out of my chest. Hopefully today will go a little better, I hope. I think its just uncomfortable - the entire process. Laying there on a table, naked from the waist up, mesh mask on my face that is bolted down, etc etc etc. I just don't like it at all, but I know it is necessary and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Just wondering if any of you "got used to it" - please say you did!
