everyday "i am hot shiznit" activities

Hola Community,

It occurs to me that one thing that is really lacking in the cancer chapter is that feeling that ones Rocks (i look great today; i wrote an amazing brief; my husband digs my legs; whatev), that thing that makes us feel like studs on a daily or once in a while basis.

So i thought we could reframe for the cancer chapter and list things that--by our current situation standards-- is hot shiznit. For example, i cleaned my own bathroom today! Or yesterday i took an oil painting lesson.

How about you guys: everyday heroism?

I had chemo yesterday and today I am working on formating printing and putting together the programs for my sister in law's wedding (in two weeks).

Oh and I got out of bed.

Ah, the genius that is you, Lovely Rachael! Your thread is the Shiznit!

Ways in which I was "Hot Shiznit" last week (it's still early for this week):

Went running on treadmill, finally.
Cleaned kitty litter box, with mask and gloves, so my roomie wouldn't have to.
Treated myself and got a laptop, which I've wanted for a looong time (Perhaps that can be considered mere indulgence, not being The Shiznit...)!

I rip!

Lets see, ways I feel I'm the Shiznit:

1. I've got a Board meeting tomorrow night and a huge event on Friday and I get to wear my "Big Girl Suits".

2. I take a mile and a half walk everyday at lunch time.

3. I take a walk with my husband and my dog each night.

4. While I'm battling this damn disease I also managed to finish my MBA!!! Yay!

i had chemo on friday but went to an amusment park ( great america) on sunday all day! lol i was sooooo tired at the end of the day!

and today i skipped a class and slept in but then went to my afternoon class.... and i have one more tonight ;(

I shot a 40 on the back nine. (after a 50 on the front, yikes)

I cleaned the garage.

Kicked the cat.

Ok... For me;
I started back to work 3 weeks after my last chemo
And now.. this is my 2 time trying to go back to nursing school... and I am not going to let the relapse stop me! I have talked with my teachers and am going to continue to go!

I go for my 4th chemo tomorrow but Monday I took my Renal/Pulm exam with the rest of my class, Tuesday I went to OMM lab, today I learned CPR and took a PCS practical! That just feels good
