Default Stem Cell Transplant

I would like to hear from anyone that can give me first hand info on a stem cell transplant ( donor type in particular ) for transformed indolent follicular lymphoma, although anyone who has had a transplant for any type of lymphoma would be greatly appreciated also.
Thanks, Tiffany

HI Tiffany, welcome to our board. I can't help you first hand, but there are many here who can, if you just wait a few minutes. In fact we have some here who have gone through it, some who are going through it and some who will be going through it. You've definitely come to the right place.

Hi Tiffany,

Welcome to the board. I can't give you firsthand info, but as Debbie said, there are several people here who can, and I'm certain they will pipe up here soon. Is it you who needs the transplant or someone you know? Whichever it is, I wish you the best. It's not an easy ride, but it is doable.

Hold on, tiffane, there *are* people with indolent lymphoma who have had SCTs here. And there are lots of people in CA here who know of good hospitals, etc., for SCTs. They'll certainly see this.

Please keep checking in with us. There are lots of caring people here with a lot of great resources to share. They can help you.

Rick went through it on March 29. He is doing great. You can read about it all at Caring Bridge.

Tiffane,
Welcome aboard. My husband had an auto transplant, so I can't offer what you're looking for. As others have said, stick around, someone will show up.
Some folks on the Hodgkins side of this message board might be around to answer questions as well.
One other thing that was very help to us was a visit to www.lymphomation.org. Here's a link to the treatment options they explain.

I wish you the best,
ghio

Hi Tiffany,

So sorry you need to find us. I haven't had an SCT, but others here have. Also, there are many on the hodge side that have done this. At least 4 in the last couple months. Most of those have been AUTO transplants rather than ALLO.

Welcome! I hope you get the info you need.
Sending tons of strength and calm your way.

Judy
