Items Best Left at Home
It's probably best to keep the following items off of your hospital packing checklist. You don't want to risk losing any of your valuables. 1. Purse, wallet, money, credit cards 2. Jewelry and any other valuables 3. Scented toiletries 4. Cell phone - most hospitals do not allow the use of cell phones as they interfere with some types of electrical equipment. 5. Cigarettes - if you are a smoker, this is the perfect time to quit smoking. If you are going to be on oxygen, you will not be able to go outside to smoke anyway. -------------- Also to ADD one more thing to what to bring: 1. Plastic bags or something to put your laundry in just in case your hospital does not offer personal laundry services. That way your caregiver can take the bag and wash your clothes for you.

---------------------------------------------- 34y, wife of Edoardo, mum of Isabel (3ys 9months) and Alessandro (1 yr 9 mths) Diagnosed via biopsy: HL Oct 6th 2006 (2 months pregnant), Stage 3A defined Nov 8th 06. External port installed: Nov 14th 06 Started ABVD treatments Nov 17th 06, stopped March 21st to recover for birth. PET May 23rd 07, clean Chemo restarted May 29th, deported June 22nd, last chemo July 11th 07! Decided not to proceed with rads. PET Nov 07, Clean
