Have any of you seen results of the mini haplo transplant in 60 + yr old patients? My mom had tripple negative breast cancer 2 years ago. The Taxol Chemo treatment from the breast cancer caused secondary leukemia (AML). Very aggressive. She coudln't find a full match in a sibling, so her only option in a half match. We've both been evaluated at Hopkins and I have signed my consents. As long as she can stay in remission until August 17th we will proceed with the transplant. Her odds are not good. About 30% of survival. She's always beated the odds up to this point, as she also has MS too (in addition to beating the aggressive breast cancer.) She's my hero and my heart breaks every day tinking of my world without her. I am not scared to give her my bone marrow. I am terrified that if it doesnt work, I will never forgive myself for not being able to do more. This, I know, is an irrational and nonsensical fear. Did any others of you feel that fear before you donated? How have you seen results in the mini haplo?

Thanks for any advise.
